Southfork Restaurant is more than just a dining establishment in High River, Alberta—it's the culmination of a journey that began thousands of miles away in India. I'm Rajesh Balaji, the owner and head chef of Southfork Restaurant, and this is my story. It all started at the Hyatt Hotel in India, where I began my career as a chef specializing in Western cuisine. Working in a high-end hotel kitchen gave me a deep appreciation for the precision and creativity that fine dining requires. I spent years honing my skills, learning from some of the best chefs in the industry, and immersing myself in various culinary styles. However, my journey took a significant turn when I decided to bring my expertise to Canada. The move wasn't just about a change of scenery—it was about exploring new culinary opportunities and sharing my passion for Western cuisine with a wider audience. I wanted to create a place where people could come together to enjoy great food, warm hospitality, and a relaxed atmosphere.
